A casement is a window that’s attached to its frame by one or further hinges at the side. They’re used independently or in dyads within a common frame, in which case they’re depended on the outside. Casement windows are frequently held open using a casement stay. Windows depended at the top are appertained to as ceiling windows, and bones depended at the bottom are called hoppers.
